Professor Alastair Sloan appointed as Chair of ANZCCART

Professor Alastair Sloan has been appointed as the Chair of the Board of the Australian and New Zealand Council for the Care of Animals in Research and Teaching (ANZCCART). Congratulations to Professor Sloan on his appointment.

ANZCCART

Professor Sloan, who is also the head of Melbourne Dental School, has worked in the field of animal welfare for over 20 years in the UK. The 3Rs - Replace, Reduce, Refine - have been central to his career, as they aim to promote the humane treatment of animals while ensuring scientific progress.

As the Chair of the Board of ANZCCART, Professor Sloan will bring his expertise to Australia and New Zealand and promote the 3Rs in animal research and teaching. We are excited to see the positive impact he will have in his new role.
