Empowering Future Clinicians: Highlights from the Oral Hygiene Symposium

The Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) team recently held their annual Oral Hygiene Symposium. This is a whole-programme event designed as a conference and trade show experience. It gives students the opportunity to meet and network with both representatives and industry professionals, many of whom they are likely to encounter in their future clinical practice. Students become familiar with key oral care products, their application, and develop their knowledge in identifying when to recommend them to patients. There is a strong focus on reviewing the latest evidence, as this is always evolving. Well done to Clinical Lecturers Sophie McKenna, and a special shout-out to Sarah Laing, who worked tirelessly to prepare and deliver this event for our students.
