Professor Petros Papagerakis appointed Head of the Melbourne Dental School
We’re proud to announce Professor Petros Papagerakis as our new Head of School, beginning September 2025.
An internationally recognised leader in dental research and education, Professor Papagerakis is known for his work in rare dental genetic diseases, tissue regeneration, circadian medicine and precision oral health.
He joins us from Laval University in Quebec City, where he is currently Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine. He has previously held senior roles at the University of Saskatchewan and completed postdoctoral training in craniofacial molecular genetics at the University of Texas.
