A Reflective Journey on Billebellary's Walk
Last week, staff and students from MDS immersed themselves in Billebellary’s Walk as part of the Faculty Ways of Knowing program, delving into the profound connections between the Wurrundjeri Woiworung peoples and the university's grounds.
Engaging in dialogue about the enduring impacts of colonisation, participants reflected on both the challenges and positive influences shaping their ethical frameworks and knowledge generation in oral health practice. Guided by Professor Julie Satur and Mr Patrick Mercer, this enriching experience underscored the importance of embracing Aboriginal ways of being, knowing, and doing while honouring the invaluable lessons embedded in history.
