International Student and Academic Visits
Study Visits
The Melbourne Dental School's Short Study Tour allows students to meet academic staff in the Faculty of MDHS, observe the teaching and research facilities and attend information sessions on studying at the University of Melbourne.
In April 2025, six fifth-year undergraduate dental students from King’s College London participated in the first MDS Study Tour Program. During their visit, they toured various facilities across the University of Melbourne and observed clinical sessions, gaining valuable insights into academic and professional practices. With the support of our academic team, the students were able to immerse themselves in university life, engaging with current students, academic staff, and professionals, and experiencing the vibrant academic environment firsthand.
Quotes from the students:
‘This study tour gave me a great understanding of practicing dentistry in Australia and was an overall fun and interesting experience.’
‘I enjoyed exploring the campus as well as taking part in the DDS3 sessions as they provided greater insight into life of a dental student at university of Melbourne’
‘I enjoyed being able to interact with DDS3 and talk to staff to share and compare our careers and experiences at different dental schools’
