MDS Education Day 2023

On Friday, April 14, 2023, educators from across MDS gathered to share their insights and experiences under the theme of "Evolve, adapt, overcome." The day was full of informative presentations and workshops, which offered opportunities to learn and collaborate.

The morning session featured a range of presentations on various topics related to ePortfolio evolution, digital health curriculum development, and pre-clinical rubric evolution. These presentations were engaging and informative, providing valuable insights into innovative teaching practices that can be adopted. In the afternoon, we participated in workshops to enhance our canvas subjects or a custom workshop for clinical supervisors. These workshops were highly interactive and gave us the opportunity to practice the skills we learned in the morning session.

The day concluded with networking and refreshments, which provided an excellent opportunity to connect with our peers and share our experiences. One of the main takeaways from the event was the importance of in-person collaboration, which is something we haven't had for some time due to the pandemic. It was inspiring to be away from the classroom and emails and focus solely on our professional development.

Overall, the MDS Education Day was a great success, providing valuable insights, networking opportunities, and inspiration for educators to evolve and adapt their teaching practices.
